科学者が主人公のこの話も大人向けでスリリング。
前半はドキドキする展開だったんだけどさ・・・
ちょうど半分でさ・・・・
なんじゃこりゃ！！！！！
ちゃぶ台ひっくり返すよ。私は。
国家に追われる主人公は科学者で薬を使った拷問の末、
自白させて情報を聞き出すスペシャリストって設定なのに！！！
なぜ女子高生も白ける純愛ぶりなの？！？！？！
意味わかんない。
人を拷問にかけるような人間が手のひら返して恋に落ちるなんて
全く現実味がない！！！
もう続き読めません。
全く入り込めません。
無理無理無理無理
で、一旦返したの。図書館に。
でもね、２週間くらいしたら気になってきてさ・・・続きが・・・
また借りてきました！
で、純愛の辺りのページをささっとめくって続きを読もうと思ったんだけど・・・
あーもうどうでもよかった。
ごめん。
また返す。
忘れてたわ。この人はあのトワイライトの作者だった。
原点はロミオとジュリエット。
禁じられた恋がテーマなのよ。
拷問する人とされる人の恋ってのを書こうと思ったんだな。きっと。
うーーーん。どうかなぁ
これは無謀だったんじゃない？
というわけで私には珍しく最後まで読まない本でした。
The Chemist by Stephanie Meyer Book Review
This is fairly new so when I found it at the library, I was really excited to read her new book.
I loved the Twilight series, and The Host was wonderful Science Fiction.
And this book started out with great thriller suspense.
I really got into it until... half way through...

I couldn't read it once the puppy love stories started.
WHAT?? she's a cold blooded torturer.
and such person capable of this horrific activity has no experience in love?
WHAT? she's a grown woman.
It has no realism.
And then I remembered... Twilight....
That's right, her theme is always Romeo and Juliet.
It just has to be one of those forbidden love.
I really wanted to be thriller suspense government conspiracy novel.
Not a love story.
Don't get me wrong, Twilight was just awesome.
I think I read that at least 3 times. maybe more.
but that was fine. the girl was in high school.
So this one is not for me. sorry. I can't finish it.
